Full Time Employees
Full time employees have multi-functional role within our organization.  While out of season for processing, employees find themselves in roles as: mechanics, forklift drivers, labeling machine labors, and transportation specialist.  This is also the time of year when employees go to continuing education seminars, trade shows, visit vendors, and enjoy shorter work hours.  During process season, May through October, our full time employees are more supervision oriented.  They will take on roles as: harvester crew leader, field crew leader, production managers, quality and sanitation manager, warehouse managers, and labeling department leaders.  These jobs are often in addition to the jobs they fulfill during the non-process season.  Long hours, stressful days, and six or seven days a week is the normal routine for everyone. Seasonal Employees
Seasonal employees are only employed during the process season. We have been blessed with great seasonal employees. Most of the seasonal employees return year after year to work for us. We have some with over 15 years of experience working at Beckman & Gast. It is not uncommon to have the entire family working for us. Seasonal employees will work on the farm, in process departments or both. Roles include a variety of jobs like: tractor drivers, field maintenance, truck driver, forklift driver, process operator, labeling department worker, product inspector, and sanitation worker. These people are an invaluable part of our success.
